Otter Mercator Brass Large Stainless
Otter makes this Mercator with a bent brass handle, a stainless steel blade and the OTTER emblem.
Mercator knives have been made in Solingen since 1867. They are famous for having equipped the soldiers of Emperor Wilhelm II in the First World War, and were also used during the Second World War. American soldiers who brought them home made the K55K a legendary model: the first K stands for Kaufmann (the name of the company's founder), the number 55 is the street number of the original factory, and the last K refers to the cat (Katz in German) engraved on the handle.
