The PEFC-certified hornbeam comes from responsibly managed forests in the Jura and the Vercors. It is a pale wood with little grain, ideal for applying colours without altering them, and the varnish protects it from moisture and dirt. Benjamin Jeanjean is a French artist based in the Basque Country: an illustrator, visual artist and tattooist, he blends black humour, nonsense and symbolism in a figurative style rich in detail.
The blade is certified as food-safe. It should nevertheless not be used with acidic foods: dry the blade after use.
